Welcome to Benihana, home of the original hibachi experience.

You’ll find us on Paseo General Escalón, in the heart of San Salvador. Gather around the teppanyaki grill and your chef goes to work right in front of you, with the knife work, the flames and the onion volcano. Steak, chicken, seafood and fresh vegetables, all cooked at your table.

Come with the family, gather the group, or make a real night of it. From the sizzle of the grill to fresh sushi straight from the bar, this is where San Salvador comes to celebrate. Reservations aren’t required, but they’re a good idea on weekends and for groups.

Fresh From the Grill

This is the heart of Benihana. Filet mignon, hibachi chicken, colossal shrimp, sea scallops and lobster, all cooked on the teppanyaki right in front of you, with the knife work and showmanship that turn a meal into a night out. Every hibachi meal comes with Benihana onion soup, Benihana salad, the hibachi shrimp appetizer, hibachi vegetables, steamed rice and our homemade sauces.

Want the full table? Our combination plates pair steak, chicken, shrimp and lobster, and the Benihana To Share banquets are built for groups.

What We're Pouring

The grill gets all the attention, but the bar more than holds its own.

There’s our signature Benihana hot sake, made in Berkeley, California and poured the way it should be, plus a sake flight if you want to taste your way through.

The house-favorite Benihana Punch. Rocky’s Margarita, with tequila, orange liqueur, organic agave and yuzu. And shareable Punch Bowls like the Blue Ocean, made for the table.

We’re on Calle Juan José Cañas at Paseo General Escalón, in Colonia Escalón, one of San Salvador’s best-known spots to gather over a meal. We’re close to Galerías Escalón, Zona Rosa and San Benito, and easy to reach from across the city.

Lunch is served Monday to Friday, which makes us a simple choice for a midday meal or a business lunch in Escalón. Same fire, quicker pace.
